The Faith Connection
St. Luke 8: 43-48; St. Matt 9:20-22 Text
Let me say to you my friend that nothing else matters if one does not have a connection with the Lord Jesus.It does not matter how great ones talent,gift or ability is if there is no connection to the source of life and all blessings. Many times we strive with people about the Lord's work who really have no clue about a life changing experence in the Lord.
It is one thing to talk about the love of God with little witness to the real meaning.
1st Corinthians 12:3 Where I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. There must without question,be a relationship that one has experenced to know that He is Lord.No connection speaks to the fact that you are going according to other people experences and you need to be connected to Him yourself.
There was a woman who had an issue of blood for 12 years and had spent all her money going from doctor to doctor but only grew worst. One day she heard that Jesus was going to be be at this certain place and she said "if I may but touch the hem of his garment,I shall be whole". She suffered from an issue which was a malady bringing with it ceremonial uncleanness & ostracism from the male society. Mark called her complaint a plague.This condition was a kin to hemorrhoids but was known as"Metrorrhagia" an organic disease of the Uterus and its appendages.
Her sickened hope was not deteoured thru 12 years of suffering. This woman was determined to do something about her condition.It is very important what you say to yourself.satan wants us to look at our many lifre struggles and lose hope in a brighter future.But the Lord wants us to understand that all things are possible to him that believes.
Jesus said in St. John 10:10 "The thief cometh not,but for to steal,and to kill,and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly".
Let me conclude this message by saying" This woman said the right thing to herself". Secondly she was determined to do something about her condition. She had the faith to touch Jesus and receive her miracle. Lastly she was willing to press thru the multitude to get to Jesus. When we want to get to Jesus for special things in our lives always remember that there are obtacles present but we must be as this woman was determined to do something about the situation.
Jesus said to her" Woman thy faith has made thee whole".
